Terms of use

Last updated: 31 October 2026.

By using SpecialsMate you agree to these terms.

The service

Recall alerts are free. We copy food recall notices from Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) and imported food inspection results from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF), and show them with a link to the official source. We check for new recalls about every 15 minutes, so an alert can arrive after the official notice, and a notice can be missed if a source is unavailable. Always rely on the official notice.

No advice

SpecialsMate gives information, not health, medical or legal advice. Read the health disclaimer.

Fair use

Don’t try to break, overload or copy the service in bulk, and don’t use it to mislead others.

Our responsibility

We work hard to keep the information correct and on time, but we cannot promise it is complete, current or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss caused by relying on SpecialsMate instead of the official notice. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Changes and contact
